Fortnite season 8 LEAK: New Sharky Shrubs map location REVEALED early?

Fortnite season 8 is fast approaching, with the next Battle Pass looking set to launch next week.

Epic Games has not officially confirmed when the Fortnite season 8 release date is, but it looks to be Thursday February 28.

That is the day that Fortnite season 7 finishes, and typically brand new Battle Passes begin the same that day the previous one ends.

And ahead of the big Fortnite launch fans may have had some major season 8 news leak.

A new Fortnite map location – called Sharky Shrubs – looks to have leaked early.

The news was revealed by @FortTory, with the upcoming Fortnite map location appearing in a store description for a Fortnite backpack.

In a post online FortTory tweeted: “Wait Fortnite did you just leaked a new place for the new map? Sharky Shrubs..”

They later added: “Uhmmm Sharky Shrubs”.

Alongside that tweet was a screengrab of the Fortnite Shark Royale backpack in the Sprayground store.

The description for it reads: “The ONLY Official Fortnite backpack in our Leatherette fabric.

“Depicting our favorite Fortnite skins running from the storm across Sharky Shrubs“.

Whether this is a new location for Fortnite season 8 – or a made up one for this backpack design – remains to be seen.

In other Fortnite news it was revealed that there will be plenty of earthquakes hitting the Battle Royale map ahead of season 8.

A list discovered by dataminers outlined when all the Fortnite earthquakes will be hitting in the run up to Fortnite season 8.

The final day that the Fortnite earthquakes will occur takes place on February 26 (for those on eastern time) and February 27 for those on GMT.

So the last Fortnite earthquakes will occur in the final stages of Fortnite season 7, with season 8 expected to start on February 28.

Most days there will be two Fortnite earthquakes hitting, but there are occasions when there is just one or three quakes.

The first Fortnite earthquake hit near Tomato Temple last week, with more following in the days afterwards.

The Fortnite earthquakes have been leaving huge cracks in the Battle Royale map.

It’s led to speculation that the current Fortnite Battle Royale map could be entirely destroyed, with season 8 starting with a completely new one.
