Fortnite Driftboard is coming soon to Battle Royale on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, PCs and Mac.
The in-game message in Fortnite Battle Royale is saying the highly anticipated Fortnite Driftboard vehicle is arriving soon.
The Fortnite Driftboard was originally meant to arrive before Christmas before it got a surprise delay.
The in-game message in Fortnite reads: “Stylin’ and Profilin’.
“Mobility. Style. Flare. Put your own spin on the game with the new limited time Driftboard!”
As reported in a post online by FortniteIntel, the recent Fortnite update 7.40 contains assets for a Driftin’ Limited Time Mode.
It’s possible that the Fortnite Driftboard will be exclusive to this playlist.
The description for the Fortnite Driftboard LTM says: “Driftin’.
“Land near a Red Supply Drop, grab a Driftboard and some weapons, meet up with your team and race to eliminate the enemies.
“Last team standing wins!”
It also looks like the Fortnite Driftboard will be the focus of one of the upcoming Fortnite Overtime challenges.
A leaked list of Fortnite Overtime challenges revealed one task which will see players jump onto the Driftboard.
This was revealed in the leaked Overtime challenge ‘play matches of Driftin’ with a friend (Driftboard LTM)’.
It looks like the Fortnite Driftboard will launch in this week’s 7.40 content update.
The Fortnite Driftboard is a snowboard-like vehicle that’s perfect for the snowy areas added during Fortnite season 7.
Here’s what Epic Games originally said about the Driftboard delay back in December: “We know we set the expectation for the Driftboard to release in the coming update.
“Unfortunately, we’ve decided to hold the release of this new vehicle to make some final quality of life changes and other polish improvements.
“We want to get you out there carving up the slopes as soon as possible.
“However, our goal is to make sure that your experiences on the Driftboard are up to our expectations.
“We still have tons of quality of life and balance improvements on the way in v7.10.”
