Paul Hollywood’s ex-wife Alex addresses 'difficult situation' with his girlfriend Summer

Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood, 52, and Alex, 54, who have a son together, split after 19 years of marriage back in 2017. He began dating Summer, 23, last year after they reportedly met in a pub she works at. The Sun reported that Alex called Summer a “w***e” and a “s**t” and said to her: “Do you know how much you’ve hurt my son?” when they bumped into each other at the supermarket chain. Now, Alex has broken her silence, with her representative telling Express.co.uk: “Alex was shocked to bump into Summer in her local supermarket but even in that difficult situation, she still did not and would not ever verbally abuse anyone.

“Alex has kept a dignified position throughout the last 14 months which have been extremely challenging, and continues to do so.”

Alex was shopping at the store alone, while Summer was with her sister Saskia, 26, and mum Sabina, 48.

The publication also reported Alex called the police after she was abused by Summer’s party.

A friend of Alex’s is reported to have told The Sun: “She was so shocked to see Summer that all she could say was, ‘Do you know how much you’ve hurt my son?’

“Summer laughed and started filming as Alex walked to her car.

“That’s when the other women started verbally abusing her. Alex was shaken and called the police.”

Alex’s representative said: “Kent Police were informed and have acted accordingly.”

A Kent police spokesperson told the publication: “Enquiries were carried out in which all parties involved were given words of advice.”

Express.co.uk has has also contacted a representative for Paul Hollywood for comment.

That evening, Summer’s sister Saskia shared an Instagram post of her and Summer sticking up their middle fingers to the camera, in a screenshot obtained by the publication.

It was captioned: “Got you biiissshhhhh. Got youuuuuuuu.”(sic)

Summer previously spoke out about her relationship with Paul, insisting their 29-year age gap isn’t an issue for her.

She told the Daily Mail: “I’m fine and I’m enjoying life.

“I’m not upset… I’m happy. Why should [the age gap] bother me?”

Summer added: “There are many other people in the world with age gaps, and marriages and kids and everything else and I’m fine.”

Alex also admitted her split from Paul was hard to get her head around.

She told Prima magazine: “No one should underestimate how separation and divorce can hit you.

“I compare it to a moment where you’re driving along the motorway and then the next moment, something beyond your control happens and you’re driving in a completely different direction.

“You have to give yourself time to get your head round it.”
