Hamidou Diallo STEALS NBA All Star Dunk Contest with superman dunk over Shaq – WATCH

Ever since Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon went toe-to-toe in one of the most memorable Dunk Contests in living memory, the competition has struggled to live up to the hype.

But the best thing about the Dunk Contest is the ability for a relatively unknown star to immediately become a household name

And Diallo did just that on Saturday night.

He may have won the contest in a rather drab championship round, but it was his final dunk in the first round that made sure everybody knew his name.

The Oklahoma City Thunder star called out Shaquille O’Neal to stand inside the paint and then he unveiled a hidden superman vest under his jersey.

And he then proceeded to leap over the seven-foot NBA legend before elbow-dunking on his first attempt!

Diallo then hung on the bucket before unveiling the superman vest once again. The 50 was just a formality.

The crowd inside the arena went bonkers and Twitter immediately blew up.

One Twitter user said: “HAMIDOU DIALLO IS THE NEW SUPERMAN!”

Another posted: “Lord have mercy! Hamidou Dialo was WAY UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP”

Comparisons between Diallo’s dunk and the famous Vince Carter elbow-dunk in 2000 were plain to see.

But Carter’s dunk, widely regarded as the greatest in NBA history, was somehow surpassed by Diallo and improved upon.
