Nintendo Switch games UPDATE: Fans may get ANOTHER Nintendo Direct very soon

Nintendo Switch fans have just found about a tonne of new games heading to the hit hybrid console in the recent Nintendo Direct.

The February 2019 Nintendo Direct revealed over 25 new Nintendo Switch games and announcements.

Big Nintendo Direct reveals include a Link’s Awakening Remake, Super Mario Maker 2 and Astral Chain – an exclusive new game from Platinum Games.

However, a number of high profile games coming to the Switch in 2019 did not get showcased during the recent Nintendo Direct.

These highly anticipated Nintendo Switch games include the new Pokemon Gen 8 title and Animal Crossing Switch.

But fans are already speculating that another Nintendo Direct could be on the horizon soon.

Fans have been left wondered if the February 2019 Nintendo Direct could be followed up with a Pokemon Direct soon and a Nintendo Direct for April.

Gamers have been speculating the Pokemon Gen 8 game could get revealed in the next few weeks.

February 27 is Pokemon Day – which marks the anniversary that Pokemon Red and Green were first released in Japan in 1996.

The New York Nintendo store will be hosting activities throughout that week, with multiple Q&A sessions with Nintendo Treehouse.

Fans on Twitter are already speculating that these Q&A sessions could be dedicated to the Pokemon Gen 8 title.

If that’s the case, then Pokemon Gen 8 title would likely have been revealed before then – possibly during a Pokemon Direct or Gen 8 event.

Last year Pokemon Let’s Go was revealed during an event held by Game Freak and The Pokemon Company in Japan.

Maybe another similar event will be held to reveal all on the highly anticipated next mainline Pokemon game.

It’s also been speculated that another Nintendo Direct could drop in either March or April.

In the recent Nintendo Direct it was revealed the first Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC character – Joker from Persona 5 – is set to be released by the end of April.

It could be possible that a Nintendo Direct could be held before then to reveal – among other things – more on the first DLC pack.

If a Nintendo Direct does happen in the next few months, then we could find out more on the games that didn’t get showcased in the February stream.

So titles such as Animal Crossing Switch, Bayonetta 3 and the new Pokemon could get revealed in that March or April Direct.

Alternatively, the next Nintendo Direct may simply be the one held during E3 in June – but fans will be hoping they won’t have to wait that long.
