In other Fortnite news, new details have emerged about what role the prisoner could play in the launch of season 8.

It’s been rumoured that the prisoner and the ice king could face off at the end of Fortnite season 7 and the start of Fortnite season 8.

And it could be that this epic battle could result in a major earthquake which causes something to emerge from the deep.

Fortnite dataminer @lucas7yoshi_ has uncovered in the update 7.40 files mention of a mysterious cracken event.

Could this creature emerge after the earthquake that hits the Fortnite Battle Royale map?

That remains to be seen but fans won’t have long to wait to find out as Epic Games ramps up its preparation for the Fortnite season 8 release date.

Fortnite season 8 could launch on February 28, which is when Fortnite season 7 finishes.
