QUEER EYE SEASON 3 RELEASE DATE

What will happen in Queer Eye season 3?

Season three sees the game move proceedings from Atlanta, Georgia to Kansas City, Missouri.

According to Netflix: “The Emmy Award-winning Queer Eye returns ready to transform the stylistically challenged and into hip and happening savants at the hands of the Fab Five.

“This season, these fearless ambassadors of taste are headed to Kansas City to bring their infectious brand of self-love, confidence and encouragement to a whole new roster of heroes.”

The series is based on the long-running noughties show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy which had a similar format but only took place in New York City.

Netflix’s take on the show sees the Fab Five find their subjects in more rural areas.

Whereas seasons one and two focused mainly on male contestants, season three will feature an equal number of males and females per episodes.

Interiors expert Bobby Berk confirmed the update to Variety last year.

“No offence to men, but we have so much more fun with women,” he said.

Stylist Tan France also confirmed that the Fab Five will make over a lesbian for the first time.

“We have our first lesbian on the show this year and she’s formidable,” he said on Netflix variety show Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj.

“What we do with her, you’re going to love it.”

The group’s food and wine specialist Anthony Porowski told E News that “inclusivity and diversity” will continue to be the focus of the show.

“I think people are going to see a lot of differences in Kansas City, but they’re going to see maybe more and understand a little more clearly that we are all the same, our struggles are the same, to show up for our families, to be better lovers, friends, parents children, like these are all human experiences,” he explained.

“It doesn’t matter which coast or which country you’re in, it’s all something you can relate to.”

The show also filmed some special episodes in Japan which will air at a later date in 2019.
