Netflix on LOCKDOWN after reports of a man with a gun, suspect arrested

Meanwhile, there were social media reports from locals claiming someone had a gun outside the building, where KTLA is also based. According to these accounts, a male person was holding a gun in the parking area. According to sources close to the situation, employees were reportedly told to stay where they were and away from windows.

The LAPD told the Hollywood Reporter that “the suspect is in custody” but no weapon had been recovered.

There has been no injuries reported.

The lockdown, which lasted a few hours, has now been lifted.

Netflix said to its employees at Sunset Bronson: “We received a tip about a potential law enforcement incident.

“Police are conducting a sweep of the lout out of an abundance of caution.

“There is no immediate danger or threat to our employees.

“Feel free to share this information with your loved ones.”

They added that workers were evacuated.

Jake Gould said on Twitter: “There are multiple LAPD police cars and a police chopper circling the perimeter of the buildings at 5800 W Sunset Boulevard – home to Netflix and KTLA.

“Talked to a police officer who told me that there were reports of somebody with a gun.

“No cars allowed to enter the building.”
