Gemma Atkinson, 34, and boyfriend Gorka Marquez, 28, earlier this month announced the news that they are expecting their first child together in a heartwarming Instagram post. And now the former Emmerdale star has taken to the app to reveal she’d only had four hours sleep and warned her Strictly Come Dancing beau to not come home without either pizza or Doritos. The radio DJ added a snap of superheroes Cheetara from the cartoon Thundercats and the enemy Krang from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In view of her 884,000 Instagram followers, she wrote: “When people ask how I’m feeling being pregnant. Most days I luckily feel like Cheetara from Thundercats. A powerhouse, strong, incredible, magical super woman!
“The odd few days I’m Krang from Turtles. I can’t move properly, I’m bloated and I feel like there’s a Thai boxing match happening in my uterus.
“Today, after only four hrs sleep it’s a Krang day so @gorka_marquez you know the drill, don’t come home without pizza or Doritos dude.”
Fans rushed to comment on the star’s admission, with former Strictly pro Brendan Cole jokingly commented: “Dude, just don’t come home!” accompanied by a winking face.
Gorka then responded with a series of crying with laughter emoji faces, suggesting it was all in jest.
Others certainly could relate to the Hits Radio DJ, as one person replied: “Aww bless, it does get better and the outcome is so worth it.”
Another person said: “Feeling your pain. Three and half months pregnant and it was my first day back at the gym training. Feel amazing now the first one is down. Onwards and upwards!”
While a third person quipped: “This is totally me, except I’m Krang 95 per cent of the time through the day.”
Meanwhile, the former Hollyoaks actress was left in tears after her colleagues surprised her with a visit form her favourite childhood boyband Hanson in the Hits radio studio earlier this week.
The blonde beauty was filmed wearing a blindfold as her colleagues Gethin and Dave teased her about a surprise which was “no more than a feet” away from her.
She replied saying she was feeling “nervous” just seconds after hearing their voices in the background.
Still wearing her blindfold, she squealed excitedly: “Oh My God, don’t say it is! You can’t do this to a pregnant woman!”
After removing her blindfold, she screamed with delight after coming face-to-face with the band.
She screamed: “Hanson!” before adding: “You’re going to make me cry!”
The American boyband rose to fame in the 90s with their catchy hit MMMBop and surprised Gemma on her show earlier this week.
Meanwhile, the fitness guru and Gorka were inundated with messages after they confirmed they were going to be parents with a picture of her pet dogs, Norman and Ollie, with signs around their necks.
One of the signs read: “Guess what… Mum’s pregnant!,” while the other sign read: “We’re going to be big brothers!”
