Emilia Clarke: ‘That would be messy’ Game of Thrones star addresses ‘battles’

The 32-year-old actress, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO fantasy series, revealed fans could win the chance to attend the premiere of the final series of Game of Thrones with her. The Game of Thrones star delighted her 18.5 million Instagram followers by sharing a video informing them of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity on Tuesday, saying all proceeds raised from entries will go towards helping young adults recover from the impact of medical trauma. “Dear scrollers… I’ve got a very important proposition for you,” Emilia Clarke captioned the video. “Wanna get the spoilers before anyone else?

Joking about “battles”, Emilia continued: “Feel like being my Hand of the Queen? No battles for the Iron Throne (that would just be messy…) just us very civilised together at the final Game of Thrones season premiere!

“(I promise but can’t guarantee I won’t ask you to hold my clutch/dragons heart,)” she added.

Fans went wild at the revelation, flooding to the comments section to enthuse about the chance they could be Emilia’s guest for the last ever Game of Thrones premiere.

Emilia, who has played the Mother of Dragons since Game of Thrones first aired in 2011, later announced fans had crashed the website by rushing to donate in exchange for entries to the draw.

Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on Sunday, April 14 on HBO and Monday, April 15, on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
