EastEnders spoilers: Sharon Mitchell RUMBLED by mystery character in affair plot twist?

Sharon (played by Letitia Dean) is showing growing concern for her young lover Keanu (Danny Walters) on EastEnders, believing she could have sent him to his death after convincing Phil (Steve McFadden) to let the mechanic carry out a job for him in Spain.

After breaking-up with Phil’s teenage daughter Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) on the BBC soap recently, having struggled to keep his feelings for Sharon in check, Keanu was sure he was going to meet his maker as part of the Phil’s revenge.

Although Sharon tried to change Keanu’s mind, the mechanic walked off into the dark street and left the blonde with huge amounts of guilt over her plan to keep her distance from the young mechanic who was trying to persuade her to give their affair another chance.

With Keanu seemingly off screen for a few weeks or possibly not returning, it has been hinted he could make a comeback to the Square alongside Phil’s son Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) or even a twin of Sharon’s deceased husband Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman).

However, there is another character from Sharon’s turbulent past who could resurface if Keanu makes his return in the coming weeks and could threaten to expose the blonde’s affair.

Phil isn’t the first Mitchell Sharon has married, having tied-the-knot to his brother Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) some 28 years ago.

Grant made a brief return to the BBC soap in 2016 after mother Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) passed away and also discovered he had a teenage son in Mark Fowler Jnr (Ned Porteous).

With the door left open for the EastEnd icon to return in the future, actor Ross Kemp, 54, has teased a possible comeback for the hot headed Mitchell brother.

Speaking to The Daily Star about new EastEnders boss Kate Oates, 40, taking over the reigns of the BBC soap, Ross said: “Everybody is saying how fantastic she is and I would love to meet her and have a chat.

“But it’s down to her, not me. It’s always a big undertaking working on a soap, but you would never say never.”

Grant has a turbulent past with Sharon, with the chemistry still evidently there between the two when the Mitchell brother made his return a few years ago.

Knowing how his brother could be a lose cannon, haven felt his wrath over Sharon once before, Grant could return with Keanu and help his ex-wife in ensuring Phil doesn’t discover her misdemeanours.

Although Grant could’ve been working for his brother in Spain and been on hand to teach Keanu a lesson, the father could’ve felt some sympathy for the young lad over his heartbreak for Sharon, seeing how the mechanic is similar in age to his son Mark.

However, if Grant accidentally exposes the affair to Phil, he could find himself in the firing line as well as Sharon and Keanu?

Can Grant stop his brother going completely off the rails or could the brothers be torn apart once more over Sharon?

Elsewhere in Walford, Phil’s former flame Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) faced heartbreak during tonight’s double dose of the BBC soap as her son Hunter Owen (Charlie Winter) confessed to the murder of bigamist Ray Kelly (Sean Mahon).

After convincing her ex Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to help them flee Walford, the former cop double crossed them as he called the police to arrest Hunter after Mel revealed what her son had done.

Trying to protect his mother during the questioning by detectives, Hunter put himself solely in the frame by admitting he had killed the Irishman.

Devastated by Hunter turning himself over, Mel seemed ready to take revenge on Jack, blaming him for sealing Hunter’s fate.

However, Jack’s brother Max Branning (Jake Wood) offered her some advice and told the distressed mother he would take his brother to France to give her time to calm down.

Though, could Max have more than Jack’s safety on his mind? Could this be the beginning of yet another affair for the Walford love rat?

EastEnders continues Friday at 8pm on BBC One
