Bible BOMBSHELL: Geologist’s 4,000-year-old discovery 'CONFIRMS Book of Genesis tale’

Sodom and Gomorrah were two cities said to be situated along the Jordan River, according to a number of stories in the Bible. The tale goes that God destroyed these sites, along with Admah and Zeboim following divine judgement of its population. However, geologists believe they have identified the actual locations of these two ancient biblical cities, confirming they did really exist.

Amazon Prime’s “Bible Conspiracies” revealed how the bombshell find was made.

The 2016 documentary detailed: “A tale in the Bible that is often quoted by Puritans to accuse the more liberal-minded among us is the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.

“God apparently destroyed them because they were far too liberal.

“The question is, did this even exist and what really happened?

“Geologists actually discovered that, in around 2,000BC, the Veil of Sodom did plunge into the abyss.

“At about the same period though, according to biblical scholars, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed.”

It has been argued that Numeira, a city in Jordan near the Dead Sea, is the real location of Gomorrah.

Some biblical scholars believe the site of Bab edh-Dhra, located close to Numeira, could be the remains of Sodom.

However, the documentary went on to claim the Bible manipulated a natural event in an attempt to prove God’s word.

It continued: “In the Book of Genesis we find the tale of two cities destroyed because of the transgressions of its inhabitants.

“People were warned to flee and those who did not were turned to pillars of salt.

“The truth is, the area surrounding the landscape has volcanoes, layers of basalt and a dead sea without fish and so much salt we can float in the water.

“We only have to look at Pompeii to realise that this event was cleverly adapted by the Bible.”
