Strictly Come Dancing: Claudia Winkleman drops HUGE line-up bombshell

Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly are expected to return to host the BBC competition when it returns later in the year.

But Claudia may be left in the dark about the Strictly Come Dancing line-up until the very last minute.

The star has revealed why she isn’t told about the celebrities who have signed up until the names are released to the public.

Claudia and Tess appeared on This Morning today to talk to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Naturally, the presenters asked the pair if they know anything about who could be taking to the floor when the programme returns.

But Claudia confessed she was none the wiser due to some of her past indiscretions.

She explained: “They tell me now after they tell the press.

“One year they bought me in, phones off, heads down and said ‘Claudia it’s very secret’ and I went ‘Gotcha, don’t tell anyone.’”

Claudia then explained how after the meeting she got in a lift with someone who asked her about the show and Claudia proceeded to list off the names of the celebs who were part of the line-up.

She added: “They said: ‘she’s a bit leaky.’”

With regards to the line-up, Tess said the duo often bother bosses with who they want to take part.

She shared: “We do bother them for people we think should do it. We’re constantly pestering them.”

Phillip and Holly also touched upon the fact that Chris Evans had announced he’d “said yes” to signing on to the competition.

“He’d be fantastic,” Tess declared.

The This Morning presenters also tried to get some information out of the pair by listing names and gauging their reaction.

“Huw Edwards?” they asked, before noticing that Claudia blinked.

However, Claudia insisted it wasn’t because she knew the answer.

Although the mother-of-three did say she would like to see Liz Hurley and Neil Kinnock put their best foot forward.

Meanwhile, Tess explained she wanted to have Michael Caine in the ballroom, as he had told her he watched the programme.

Strictly Come Dancing is expected to return to BBC One later this year.
