Strictly Come Dancing finalist Gemma Atkinson, 34, was filmed wearing a blindfold as her colleagues Gethin and Dave teased her about a surprise. Her colleagues informed Gemma her surprise was “no more than a feet” away from her, to which she responded she was “nervous”. Teasing Gemma, Hanson brothers Isaac, Taylor, and Zac said “hello” as Gemma’s colleague urged her to guess who it is. Just seconds after hearing their voices, Gemma realised who it was and covered her mouth in shock.
Still wearing her blindfold, she excitedly said: “Oh My God, don’t say it is!”
She then jokingly squealed: “You can’t do this to a pregnant woman!”
Gemma then took her blindfold off and screamed as she came face-to-face with her favourite band.
She screamed: “Hanson!” before adding: “You’re going to make me cry!”
Still overwhelmed, Gemma then informed listeners she missed meeting them before due to other work commitments.
The band then joked that blindfolding her ahead of meeting them was not their idea.
She replied: “I just can’t believe you’re all here!”
She added: “It’s nice to see you all… I used to have you all on my posters.”
Her colleagues then informed listeners they were going to play a song to allow Gemma to calm down.
Meanwhile, Gemma announced she is going to be a mother for the first time with her partner and professional dancer Gorka Marquez, 28.
The pair met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017 and confirmed they were dating shortly after the show.
Gemma took to her Instagram to announce their pregnancy news.
In view of her 880,000 followers, she uploaded a picture of her pet dogs, Norman and Ollie, with signs around their necks.
One of the signs read: “Guess what… Mum’s pregnant!”
The other sign read: “We’re going to be big brothers!”
She captioned the picture: “And what Amazing big brothers they will be!
“Myself & Gorks are beyond excited and happy and feel incredibly blessed to be meeting our new family member later this year.”
“Baby Marquez!!! We love you loads already @gorka_marquez.”
