Fortnite Battle Royale is one of the world’s biggest games. Fortnite Battle Royale is a simple concept – 100 players fight to the death until only one character remains. And although the idea may not seem inherently romantic, Fortnite has released a Valentine’s Day event for the v7.40 Update.

Epic Games developer Fortnite has unveiled a Valentine’s Day special to accompany the v7.40 release.

The Fortnite #ShareTheLove event started last week and will continue until February 27.

As well as exciting challenges, the v7.40 update also supplies cute and romantic Valentine’s Day skins.

And the update additionally offers skins for in-game vehicles and even weapons.

Also included in the update are additional Overtime Challenges.

Fotrnite Overtime Challenges are essentially extension to the 10 weekly challenges.

Completing these challenges by the end of the season automatically unlocks new rewards, in this instance the Valentine Wrap and Vines Contrail.

All those playing Fortnite at the weekends over this period will also receive double XP as an incentive to upgrade their Battle Pass.

As a reward for making the upgrade, the player will unlock radical redesigns for Powder, the Trog and Onesie skins.

And if that is not enough, Fortnite has also revealed a “Share the Love” Competitive Series.

The “Share the Love” Competitive Series features a variety of competitions , each with four divisions.

Those with the best scores in these series will be directly promoted to the higher divisions based on their performance.

When does the Valentine’s Day v7.40 Patch go live?

The v7.40 patch will roll-out on Wednesday, February 13 at 11.00am GMT (6.00am ET).

Downtime for the update will begin at 9.00am GMT (4.00am ET) and will most likely lost two hours.

It is, however, possible the v7.4 Patch will go live a little earlier or later.

Which major changes can we expect?

Epic Games recently teased some of the changes that can be expected with the Fortnite v7.40 patch.

So expect significant tweaks to weapons, the X-4 Stormwing plane and ziplines.
