During the end credits scene of Avengers Infinity War, Jackson’s Nick Fury managed to send a message to Captain Marvel using a mysterious pager. But with Captain Marvel’s solo outing being set in the 1990s, how exactly will she be contacted and where has she been for the last 10 years of MCU movies? Fans have speculated the pager can send a message across time. And now Jackson has teased Captain Marvel’s ability to time travel, which could be very important for Avengers Endgame.
Speaking with Total Film, the 70-year-old star said: “I guess we might figure out that she can do things that nobody else can do.
“She can time travel so maybe she can get ahead or behind or whatever, and figure out what all that is.
“The fact I have the pager 20 years later – it gets addressed in an interesting sort of way.”
The same pager was seen in the first Captain Marvel trailer, so hopefully, more will be revealed in the upcoming solo movie.
In the first trailer for Avengers Endgame, it was heavily teased that Ant-Man and the Quantum Realm are the keys to reversing Thanos’ Snap.
After all, Scott Lang suddenly turned up outside Avengers HQ with the Quantum Tunnel van.
So will Captain Marvel and the Avengers travel to the past to collect the Infinity Stones before Thanos? Fans will have to wait and see.
Captain Marvel is released in UK cinemas on March 8 and Avengers Endgame will follow on April 25, 2019.
