Grammys 2019 best dressed: Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga exude style in red carpet pictures

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards was hosted by Alicia Keys last night, and featured performances from some of the world’s most famous faces. Stars including Childish Gambino, Lady Gaga, and Ariana Grande scooped one of the prestigious awards at the ceremony. And, in the style stakes, there were plenty of celebrities who could have been up for a gong. Topping Express.co.uk’s best dressed list was the ceremony host herself, Alicia, 38.

The singer-songwriter wore a floor-length red gown, which featured a series of buttons spanning the centre of the dress.

The stunning red carpet ensemble had long sleeves and a plunging neckline.

She teamed the look with a pair of sparkling earrings, as well as a huge ring on her right hand, and a silver necklace.

Also looking more than red carpet ready was Lady Gaga.

The singer and A Star is Born actor donned a silver dress by Celine which featured a thigh-high split.

And, as if the strapless get-up’s metallic and shiny pattern wasn’t enough, the statement gown gathered at her left side in an attention-commanding ruffle design.

Meanwhile, Meghan Trainor wowed in white – wearing a jumpsuit which had been embellished with sparkling material at the cuffs, shoulders, and waistline – as well as at the side of her legs.

She went necklace-free in the plunging item, instead accessorising the look with a pair of sparkling silver drop earrings.

Miley Cyrus also exuded glamour as she posed for the world’s paparazzi on the red carpet.

She had stepped out in a pair of chic flared trousers, an oversized suit jacket, and strappy high heels.

Having buttoned the garment at her waist and forgone a top for the occasion, the 26-year-old singer and actor oozed sex appeal.

Anna Kendrick, 33, also scooped some serious style points, stepping out in a pink feathered mini dress and metallic silver heels.

The strapless outfit had also been adorned with sparkling silver jewels – which only added to her glamorous look.

Elsewhere, Michelle Obama was the epitome of sophistication as she stepped out on the stage at the Grammy Awards.

While her surprise appearance at the event may have meant she missed making her arrival on the red carpet, the 55-year-old former First Lady wowed as she spoke at the event.

She had worn a metallic grey-silver co-ord, comprising of matching straight leg trousers, as well as a long-sleeved blouse.
