Emmerdale spoilers: Graham Foster in dramatic EXIT plot as Cain delivers shock warning?

Graham (played by Andrew Scarborough) was one of the most welcome new additions to Emmerdale when the mysterious character suddenly arrived over a year ago.

Initially tied to millionaire Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), all that changed for Graham when Kim Tate (Claire King) made her explosive return to the ITV soap.

When Joe was accidentally killed by fan-favourite father-of-three Cain (Jeff Hordley), the two men became inextricably linked.

And now tonight’s episode may have paved the way for a dramatic showdown ending in the former military soldier’s death.

Towards the end of last week, Graham thought he had won the invisible duel when he planted some evidence in Cain’s car shop.

Clearly underestimating the character, Graham’s actions were tossed back in his face during tonight’s instalment and Cain thwarted the police’s search.

Turning up at Home Farm with a smug grin on his face, Cain revealed not only had he found the small packet of evidence Graham had hidden, but he was done with playing games.

“I needed to protect myself,” Graham insisted feebly, but Cain simply laughed in his face.

“From the police?” he sneered. “See I reckon they’re the least of your worries right now.”

“I disagree,” Graham tried again, desperate to retain some semblance of control in the stand-off. “They know we’re connected, all they’re lacking is evidence.”

Dismayed at Graham’s reasoning, Cain began hurling insults at the character and the atmosphere grew tense.

“For all your posh suits and your Brylcreem, you’re pretty thick aren’t ya?” Cain mused, but Graham was holding fast.

Cain continued to fight to get to the bottom of Graham’s actions, concerned the butler seemed to think he wouldn’t have mentioned his name.

“It’s still your word against mine,” Graham replied easily. “I’ve covered my back, you’ve seen them, they’re desperate to pin this on you.”

Drawing nearer to Graham, Cain finally delivered the ultimate blow, and the threats came thick and fast.

“I don’t think you realise what a big mistake you’ve made,” he warned.

“Mistake suggests unintentional,” Graham snapped. “I need to draw a line under this. And you’re the one that’s killed a man.”

Cain then asked the businessman what made him think he wouldn’t do it again, and declared no one had ever pushed him as far as Graham has.

Finally sensing worry from his opponent, Cain finished: “You see Joe was a mistake, I will actually enjoy burying you. One more foot wrong, you’re next.”

Are Graham’s days seriously numbered on the ITV soap? Or will he pull another ace out of the bag in time?

Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
