Olivia Colman: The Favourite actress looks chic in monochrome dress at the BAFTAs 2019

Olivia Colman attended the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTAs) on Sunday night.

The 45-year-old English actress looked chic and stylish in a monochrome dress when she stepped out on the star-studded red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall.

The Norfolk born star, who shot to fame in Channel 4 series Peep Show, has been nominated for a BAFTA award for her portrayal of Queen Anne in 2018 movie The Favourite.

The actress, who is currently filming scenes for Netflix drama The Crown, looked radiant in her black and white gown with a long train which she teamed with a statement diamond bracelet.

Olivia is competing against Glenn Close (The Wife), Lady Gaga (A Star Is Born), Melissa McCarthy (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) and Viola Davis (Widows) for the coveted Leading Actress BAFTA award.

The talented performer has been sweeping the board this award season and has already earned herself a Golden Globe award (for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy motion pictures) and a Critics’ Choice Award (for Best Actress in a Comedy Movie) for her role in the royal period drama.

She is even tipped to win an Oscar at the Academy Awards later this month.

Also making an appearance at the London award ceremony are Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who walked the red carpet at BAFTAs 2019.

Kate Middleton, 37, looked stunning when she joined Prince William, 36, who has been the President of BAFTA since 2010, on the prestigious red carpet.

During the ceremony, the Queen’s grandson will present the Fellowship, the Academy’s highest accolade, to American film editor Thelma Schoonmaker, 79.
