John Cena: WWE legend teases MAJOR appearance ahead of WrestleMania 35

Cena looks a lot like the fight game’s iconic Stryker character and the official Instagram account of bosslogic pointed out the resemblance to his 1m followers.

The Champ picked up on the hype and shared a cryptic photo of the Mortal Kombat fighter on his own personal Instagram profile.

The Leader of the Cenation is notorious for posting random and mystical photos on social media without any captions.

But the fact that fellow WWE superstar Ronda Rousey will be part of the video game has increased speculation that Cena could be involved too.

Rousey will be doing the voice over for Mortal Kombat character Sonya Blade.

The game is scheduled for release on April 23 across Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Cena has been wrestling on a part-time basis with WWE in the last few years due to his advanced age of 41 and his busy Hollywood schedule.

The 16-time world champion is following in the footsteps of fellow WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and is building an impressive movie career.

The ex-WWE Champion has taken part in various comedy blockbusters like Blockers, Trainwreck as well as Daddy’s Home 1 and 2.

He has also worked with some of the industry’s biggest celebrities like Amy Schumer, Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell.

The former World Heavyweight Champion is now cutting his teeth in the action genre as he co-stars with Academy Award Nominee Hailee Steinfeld in the Transformers spinoff Bumblebee.

Cena is also expected to star in Project X-traction opposite legendary martial artist Jackie Chan.

The wrestling legend is now in Vancouver filming his next movie Playing With Fire and the production will last until April 1.

However, there’s a good chance he will be part of WrestleMania 35 in some capacity on April 7 at the MetLife Stadium in New York.
