If you’re a lover of all things Xperia then there’s not too long to wait until we see what Sony has coming next.
The Japanese technology firm is holding a press event later this month at Mobile World Congress and we are expecting to see an all-new Xperia XZ4 shown to the world.
Despite a launch still a few weeks away there’s already been plenty of leaks and rumours which painty a pretty good picture of what’s to come.
So, if you want to know everything about this new phone here’s the latest details about the XZ4.
SONY XPERIA XZ4 – WHEN WILL IT LAUNCH?
Sony always unleashes its new devices at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and this year seems to be no different.
The Japanese technology firm has an event scheduled at MWC with things getting underway on Monday 25 February.
The announcement is expected to start at around 7.30am GMT and Express.co.uk will be in Spain to update you on all the very latest Xperia news.
SONY XPERIA XZ4 – HOW MANY PHONES WILL BE REVEALED?
That’s a tricky question to answer right now with no official confirmation about what will be coming from Sony.
In that past, we’ve always seen a flagship launched alongside a smaller Xperia Compact model.
Some rumours have suggested that Sony will ditch the Compact this year although we’ll have two wait and see if that becomes a reality.
One final rumour is that Sony will launch a mid-range phone called the XA3 as well as the flagship XZ4.
This cheaper device might boast a large screen, Snapdragon 660 processor and dual-lens camera system.
Other rumoured specifications for the handset include a 3,500mAh battery and 64GB of storage.
SONY XPERIA XZ4- WHAT WILL BE NEW?
If all the rumours about this new Sony device are true, then it could be one of the most exciting Xperia phones in years.
All signs point to a call maker that’s had a complete design overhaul and could mean a bigger edge-to-edge display which will give users a much-improved viewing experience.
Spin the phone around and there’s the possibility of a radical new triple rear camera system which may even feature a 52-megapixel main sensor.
Other extras that may arrive are a bigger battery, fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and a fingerprint scanner which will sit on the side of the phone rather than its current rear-mounted, and highly irritating, position on the XZ3.
One final suggestion is that the headphone port will make a welcome return this Xperia flagship although we’ll have to wait and see if that really happens.
XPERIA XZ4 – HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
We’ll find out full details on February 25 but don’t expect a bargain.
The Xperia XZ4 is a flagship phone that will, no doubt, command a high price.
If previous years are anything to go buy the XZ4 could land in pockets for around £749 but all will be revealed at MWC.
