WHEN DOES THE WALKING DEAD RETURN?

WARNING: This article contains spoilers about The Walking Dead season 9

Who stars in The Walking Dead season 9 part B?

Judging by the teaser trailer released by AMC, it looks like there could be a lot of deaths in the upcoming season.

At the end of season nine, part A, Eugene’s (Josh McDermitt) rescue party met The Whisperer’s for the first time and it looks like they are going to be a huge threat.

Avengers: Infinity War actor Ross Marquand is back as Aaron on The Walking Dead and Retired at 35 actor Josh McDermitt as Eugene.

Utopia actress Eleanor Matsuura is back as Yumiko and Black Panther actress Danai Gurira as Michonne.

The Boondocks Saints star Norman Reedus returns as Daryl Dixon.

WILL MICHONNE RETURN FOR SEASON 10?

However, one character who may not feature in the upcoming season is Tom Payne who played Jesus.

Jesus was killed by The Whisperer’s at the end of the mid-season finale and judging by the trailer, it looks like his funeral will be taking place in episode nine.

In the trailer, fans are given their first glimpse of the Whisperer’s leaders, Alpha (played by Samantha Morton) and Beta (played by Ryan Hurst).

Morton is two time Academy Award-winning actress and Golden Globe winner.

Hurst is best known for playing Opie Winston in Sons of Anarchy.

Melissa McBride is back as Carol Peletier and Khary Payton returns as Ezekiel.

WILL THE WHISPERER’S RETURN?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan stars as Negan and hopefully, fans will see more of him in the second half of the season as he escaped from prison.

Sadly, Andrew Lincoln is likely to not appear in season nine, part B as Rick Grimes after he left the show in episode five of season nine.

Although, Rick was not killed off so fans are hoping he makes a surprise return this season.

Regardless, fans have not to worry as it was confirmed Andrew Lincoln will reprise his role as Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead movie, set to start filming this year.
