The blaze happened at the Brazilian club’s state-of-the-art centre that was expanded only two months ago.
The complex includes a dormitory used by youth team players and the fire broke while players were sleeping.
The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed but according to G1 news portal is stated at 5.10am (7.10GMT) and was extinguished after just over two hours.
No victims have been identified but the BBC report that the dorm was used by players between the ages of 14 ad 17.
