Coronation Street was a shocking affair this evening, especially for poor Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding).
The ITV soap favourite was left with a moral dilemma as she found her son asking for help in prison.
Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison) has been fearing for his life behind bars and asked his mum to sort something out for him.
He wanted drugs sent in so he could become useful in prison, but moral Shona wanted to have him move to a more secure unit.
The pair have been secretly been talking via mobile phones, a move which could see Clayton in trouble anyway.
And he has been putting the pressure on Shona for the goods.
As the episode come to an end, the worried mother text her boy to ask him to consider moving units.
She didn’t get a response immediately and doting boyfriend, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), whisked her off to bed.
However what she didn’t see was a silhouette at the door.
The intruder creepily knelt down by the door and fiddled with the lock.
The figure then burst open through the door in a seriously menacing fashion.
But is the mystery person Clayton? And if so, how did he get out of prison?
Or has Clayton sent someone to threaten Shona into supplying the drugs?
In the coming weeks, it seems there will be testing times for David and Shona.
Clayton was responsible for the death of David’s ex, so he would not want to hear anything about him.
But he will be completely horrified in scenes yet to air when someone leaves a DVD of David and Shona sleeping.
David immediately blames Clayton for the act, but he says its the prison bullies.
After a bit of back and forth between David, Shona and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), the couple will eventually have a heart-to-heart.
But David won’t get the answers he’s wanting… Will the pair split for good?
