James Bond 25 production start DELAYED again for Daniel Craig’s final 007 outing?

Last year Danny Boyle was set to direct James Bond 25, but after he pulled out over “creative differences” production was pushed back. Originally the 007 film was set to start shooting at Pinewood Studios on December 3 last year, for an October 2019 release date. But after announcing Cary Fukunaga as Bond 25’s new director, Craig’s fifth and final outing in the franchise was pushed back to February 14, 2020, with a shooting start date of March 4. Nevertheless, Collider now reports that Bond 25’s cinematographer Linus Sandgren says principal photography now won’t begin until April – however, the release date remains unchanged.

Collider’s Editor Frosty tweeted: “Just ran into cinematographer Linus Sandgren.

“He’s hard at work prepping Bond 25 with Cary Joji Fukunaga.

“They start shooting in April with a February 14, 2020 release date.

“Can’t wait to see a Fukunaga Bond movie.”

Sandgren follows on from Spectre’s Hoyte van Hoytema, best known for Christopher Nolan movies, and the great Roger Deakins on Skyfall.

The Swedish cinematographer also most recently worked on First Man and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.

Alongside La La Land, these films’ visual style makes it sound like Bond fans can look forward to some beautiful, bold shots.

Bond 25 will be released in cinemas on February 14, 2020.
