Avengers Endgame OFFICIAL synopsis reveals really BAD news for fans in Infinity War sequel

Fans already knew it was going to be bad. The fact that only the original Avengers were left standing after the Snap was never seen as a relief, but rather a warning. Major stars like Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans have all reached the end of their Marvel contracts. The MCU phase 4 is expected to move forward with new central players, lead by Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel. Previous trailers have been careful to only show the early part of Endgame, but now an official synopsis of the whole film has been released.

MovieWeb spotted that the official Australian Marvel website had posted the plot summary beneath the countdown clock to Endgame’s big screen release.

It said: “After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos.

“With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.”

Well, nobody was expecting an entirely happy ending, were they?

It’s that final phrase which will send chills racing up every spine.

“No matter what consequences may be in store,” couldn’t be any clearer. Some hard decision will have to be made and it appears the remaining Avengers will have some idea of the cost they will have to pay.

This continues to feed into the assumptions that either Iron Man or Captain America (or both) at the very least could sacrifice themselves to somehow fulfil the one single successful future seen by Doctor Strange in Infinity War.

One popular theory suggests Tony Stark will sacrifice Steve Rogers, Pepper or even his new child to obtain the Soul Stone. Another theory argues that everyone who disappeared in the Snap will become part of the new reality for Phase 4 while those left alive will be left in another dimension or reality, never to be seen again.

With just over two months to go, the wait is unbearable, but at least it means fans don’t have to say goodbye to anyone else. Yet…
