Anthony Joshua: Jarrell Miller reignites feud, brings up AJ's mum ahead of announcement

Miller had a heated run-in with Anthony Joshua last July at a press conference in New York.

The pair had to be separated by Eddie Hearn, with a fired-up Joshua telling Miller: “You come here running your mouth. You’re late, no respect. Pu******e.”

An irate Joshua later said: “Shut the f**k up. Get off the stage. Shut the f**k up.

“Running your mouth every minute. S**t the f**k up and get off the stage, little b***h.”

Miller has fired numerous shots Joshua’s way since their altercation and has repeatedly vowed to knock him out.

The undefeated American is on course to face Joshua – the WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion – in New York in June.

And after he beats ‘AJ’, he plans on taking out the Olympic gold medallist’s mum, Yeta Odusanya, on a date.

“I’ve been waiting for the moment to shock the world. AJ is a real big hype job,” he told Sirius XM Boxing.

“And when he fights a real gritty, hungry, mean person like me, it’s going to be a whole different story, man.

“After I beat AJ I’m still gonna take his mum out on a date. So leak that conversation.”

Late last week, it was claimed that Joshua’s showdown with Miller has been finalised and will take place at Madison Square Garden.

Miller is adamant no agreement has been reached but is confident the fight will come to fruition.

He said: “I was quiet for a little while, I had to take care of some internal stuff. We’re still having out, you know, these errors.

“But the ‘AJ’ fight is in the grasp and we’re trying to hash out the last couple of details.

“It’s not official yet, but I’m thinking it’s like 80 per cent [done]. It’s about 80 per cent, man. I can’t wait, man. He wants to come to America and I think it’s going to be great for USA boxing, especially for American boxing.”

Joshua’s promoter Hearn echoed Miller’s statement in an interview with the BBC, saying: “Right now we have got our heads around this happening.

“For many years people have said AJ needed to fight in the US.

“He definitely needs to build his profile in the US but knowing how he looks, behaves and fights he will be a superstar in America. We are not done with a deal yet but there is a strong chance.”

Joshua’s next outing was scheduled to take place at Wembley on April 13.

However, Deontay Wilder’s controversial draw with Tyson Fury – whom he’ll rematch later this year – and Dillian Whyte’s refusal to take the fight put paid to those plans.
