Liam Payne and Naomi Campbell dating: Is Cheryl Cole 'distraught' as Liam moves on?

Ex-One Direction star Liam Payne and former Girls Aloud member Cheryl Tweedy separated in July 2018 after three years together. The pair has a one-year-old son, Bear, and blamed their split on chaotic careers and their 10 year age difference. However recent reports have linked Liam, 25, with Naomi Campbell, 48.

Liam and his rumoured supermodel beau were first spotted attending a gig together at London’s O2 arena in January.

They also apparently welcomed the New Year together in Ghana, partying until 6am.

There have been pictures posted to social media of the pair enjoying a meal together in the West African nation.

A source told the Sun that Liam and Naomi had been seeing each other for “a while”.

They said: “Liam has been seeing Naomi for a while. He’s mad on her. He seems head over heels.

“They’re definitely an item and have been seeing a lot of each other.

“Liam thinks she’s amazing and beautiful and has said their time together has been mind-blowing.

“He seems really into her and acting like he can’t believe his luck . . . He obviously likes a beautiful older woman.”

But how has Cheryl reacted?

Cheryl has thrown herself into her TV show The Greatest Dancer and told the Mail Online in January that she had “paused” relationships.

Cheryl said: “I wouldn’t say I’ve given up on love. I love, love.

“But I have paused my relationship goals. All is well.

“I’m just going with the flow, but I have no plans to meet anybody anytime soon.”

However, during the live shows of The Greatest Dancer, the Fight for This Love singer seemed emotional.

She cried twice after her acts performances, dubbing herself a “mess”.

After The Dane Bates Collective’s performance, she said: “You girls kill me…girls you really don’t have to thank me, it’s youse who put the work in, what is wrong with me?

“Your dedication shows, just to be clear, the challenge was doors. We close the doors down on our insecurities and bash the doors down on our insecurities.

She was also tearful after Harry and Eliyah’s dance, telling the pair: “I’m a mess. I am a mess. That was world class.

“Your technical ability is crazy to me. That split jump over her head was insane.

“Those pirouettes were insane. The technicality in it but also the feeling, it’s not a cold technicality, it’s a emotive technicality.”
