James Bond: THIS actor’s odds of replacing Daniel Craig have been cut TWICE in one week

Craig’s (ostensibly) final movie in the role is due to start production next month, ahead of a Valentine’s Day release in 2020. It’s not until that movie is done and dusted that producers are expected to start making headway on the one after that. Still, that hasn’t stopped punters continuing to put money on his replacement – and one particular actor has had a small cut in his odds twice in one week.

Since interest in Richard Madden was bolstered and Tom Hiddleston returned to the front of the betting, the market has become relatively stationary.

But Henry Cavill has, for reasons unknown, slowly crept up the ‘Next James Bond’ list twice in the space of a week.

Data from Oddschecker reveals that, while he was out at 20/1 with Betfair in mid-January, he was cut down to 14/1 on January 25.

Then, today, he has seen a small dip once again – down to 11/1.

Similar moves have been made by Paddy Power, who have also cut him down to 11/1 as of today.

While SkyBet’s odds are a little longer – he’s on 28/1 with them, as of late last week – that’s still slightly shorter than the 33/1 odds he had with them two weeks earlier.

These are very small changes, of course; but given the lack of any other serious movement at the top end of the market, any movement whatsoever is certainly noticeable.

Another star who’s seen a recent drop in odds is Aidan Turner: the Poldark star is now down to 8/1 with SkyBet.
