Lucy Verasamy Instagram: Weather star shares stunning selfie before blustery forecast

The ITV weather presenter enjoyed a journey on a Belmond British Pullman train, whose carriages are glamorously restored from the 1920s, yesterday, documenting it for her 88,000 Instagram followers. Lucy Verasamy, 38, looked beautiful in a selfie which she posted on her story, wearing her chocolate locks in a casual down ‘do and styled the look with a chic pale grey beret. The brunette bombshell accessorised with round sunglasses and a cross-body bag, wrapping up warm in a dark jacket. Beaming for the camera, she could be seen posing in the vintage carriage.

The meteorologist also shared a clip which showed a cup of tea and a sauce perched atop a table in the dining carriage next to a vase of flowers and a velvet lamp, as the countryside rushed past outside the window.

In the evening, Lucy appeared on ITV’s weather forecast, telling viewers: “The cold air is set to give way in the next 24 hours.”

Predicting a turn for the warmer today, she added: “But we’re not out of the woods just yet.”

The TV star warned of freezing temperatures overnight.

“As low as minus eight and minue nine in Scotland with a widespread frost,” she said.

As today progresses she said the frost and ice would be slow to shift.

However, things are soon set to warm up, she said, with blustery and wet weather coming in from the west.”

Lucy regularly causes a frenzy with her appearances on ITV and social media, prompting many compliments from fans.

For the forecast last night, she showed off her svelte frame in a figure-hugging black dress.

The high-necked number clung to her gym-honed curves and featured long sleeves.

She accentuated her slender waist with a thin leopard print belt and wore her hair in a carefully coiffed bob.

Norfolk-born Lucy studied geography and Earth sciences at university before starting work at the Press Association’s weather centre.

She later moved to Sky before landing a job on ITV’s Daybreak.

Nowadays, she is best known for keeping viewers up to date with the forecast on ITV Racing and Good Morning Britain.

Meanwhile, she is hotly-tipped to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing 2019.

Bookies Coral slashed their odds to 6-4 for her to join the line-up, saying: “Lucy would be incredibly popular on the dance floor and we are sure that Strictly bosses would be delighted to get her to sign up for the class of 2019.”
