Fortnite UPDATE: Downtime news and patch notes reveal time for update 7.30

A new Fortnite update is being released this week that includes brand new content and comes with some good news for fans.

Fortnite update 7.30 is scheduled to land, tomorrow, February 5, on PS4, Xbox, Switch, PC and Mobile.

Epic Games are releasing the patch as usual on a Tuesday but will not be taking servers down as they sometimes have to.

So without downtime, Fortnite fans should have quick access to the content 7.30 on all platforms.

From what has been shared of the plans for tomorrow, Fortnite 7.30 will go live at around 1pm, UTC.

Maintenance won’t slow down the process and will mean players should be able to download anything required to get back online quickly.

Patch notes will be released around the same time, meaning that fans will know exactly what is changing in the last build.

We already have been given a few hints, including in the official statement released by Epic Games on the new update.

“Gather around… get cozy around campfires in the v7.30 Content Update,” the message from the dev team reads.

“Available tomorrow, February 5 at 8 AM ET(1300 UTC). There will be no downtime.”

As the statement suggests, new environmental campfires are being added to the game, which could have larger consequences than first thought.

These new campfires could also be linked to the game’s Prisoner skin, judging by the information leaked by data miners.

This hasn’t been confirmed by Epic Games themselves, who have talked about these new camp fire on Reddit, revealing that the changes would be beneficial to the game.

“We’re deploying a change soon that will extend the campfire gameplay further by allowing players to interact with the existing campfires found throughout the environment, the Epic Games dev post reads.

“Interact with the wood pile in order to light the fire. From that point on it behaves just like a Cozy Campfire: healing nearby players and burning out after 25 seconds.”

And it looks like the Campfire upgrade won’t be the only change made in Fortnite update 7.30.

Fortnite early patch notes for content update 7.30 reveals Battle Royale fans will be getting the brand new Bottle Rockets item.

When players log into Fortnite Battle Royale today the in-game message is teasing the arrival of Bottle Rockets.

the exact mechanics of how it works remains to be seen, however, leaked information suggests they will work in a similar way to the Mounted Turret.

The description for the Bottle Rockets reads: “Loud, bright, and dangerous! Warning: do not light indoors.”

The leaked description for it seems to suggest it could deal major structural damage, so it could be another anti-building device.

Epic Games will also be adding new bugfixes to help remove some of the more annoying glitches affecting gameplay.

These will all be listed in the official patch notes, which will be shared soon after the update is released to Battle Royale fans.
