James Jordan: Dancing On Ice star reveals REAL reason for social media silence this week

Dancing On Ice 2019 contestant James Jordan, 40, took to Instagram to give his 95,000 followers an update as he revealed he suffered a “nasty” fall on the ice on Monday, which has kept him from updating his fans. In the clip, the former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer explained: “On the ice this morning, last day of training until we go into Bovingdon. “I haven’t been on social media that much this week because on Monday, I had a bit of a nasty fall and I really hurt my hip and it really annoyed me.” James admitted he will be back on social media a lot more but also spilled some surprising details about the other contestants on the show.

He said: “I haven’t done much social media but I’m going to do a lot more now. It sounds like lots of people this week, a lot of the celebs have had falls.

“People have hit their faces, knees, elbows, everything.”

Referring to his hip injury, James added: “This I promise you, bl**dy hurts when you get it wrong.”

This comes after TOWIE star Gemma Collins, who is also competing on the skating show, took a fall on the ice during the live episode at the weekend.

She suffered badly bruised knees following her awful fall which resulted in the star using her mother’s wheelchair as she seemingly struggled to walk with her injuries.

Despite the horror fall, Gemma confirmed she will be back performing this weekend.

The reality star uploaded a post to her Instagram account with the caption: “Be back Sunday guys don’t worry.

“Nothing is going to stop me. Your support is overwhelming and keeping me going.”

Gemma added: “#nopainnogain @dancingonice physio is going well and will be ok.”

Meanwhile, James recently revealed he had a “bust-up” backstage with Essex star, best known as The GC.

Speaking to Best magazine, he said: “Gemma and I had a big old bust-up the other day – I felt she was in the wrong about something.”

However, it seemingly appears the pair have put their differences aside as James revealed the TOWIE regular has since apologised.

He continued: “She said, ‘You know what? You’re right.’ And she apologised to everyone concerned.

“That takes humility. What can I say… she gets carried away when she’s upset.

“On another note, didn’t she look stunning at the NTAs?”

Dancing On Ice airs Sunday on ITV at 6pm.
