Secret Life of Pets 2 trailer: How to watch the BRAND NEW trailer online

In June 2016, The Secret Life of Pets was the unexpected animated movie to make waves in the summer box office. The film, made by Illumination Studios, capitalised on what everyone wonders – what our pets get up to when we’re not at home. Given the original’s success, it should come as little surprise a sequel was announced a mere two months later, in August 2016.

Here is the brand new trailer of Secret Life of Pets 2

The trailer shows Gidget being taught how to be a cat by Chloe.

The Secret Life Of Pets 2 trailer makes use of the fine line between adult and kid humour.

Whereas the first trailer gave little away in terms of plot, this trailer is a bit more expository.

Though no plot details are given away, you are treated to a more in-depth look at the characters.

Many of the same characters are back, including Max, this time voiced by Patton Oswalt.

Eric Stonestreet voices Duke, a large, brown, shaggy mongrel who lives with Max.

Kevin Hart voices Snowball, a white rabbit who was integral to the plot of the first film.

Jenny Slate voices a white Pomeranian and Max’s love interest named Gidget.

Ellie Kemper voices Katie, Max and Duke’s human owner.

Lake Bell voices Chloe, a large and apathetic grey tabby cat.

Dana Carvey voices the elderly Basset Hound Pops, whose back legs are paralyzed.

Hannibal Buress voices Buddy, a laid-back dachshund.

Bobby Moynihan voices Mel, a hyperactive pug.

New to The Secret Life of Pets are Tiffany Haddish as a Shih Tzu, Nick Kroll as Larry, Pete Holmes as a Russian Blue cat, and most importantly the antagonist.

Harrison Ford lends his voice to Dr Francis, an abusive vet.

The plot we know so far follows Max and his friends as they try to stop Dr Francis.

The Secret Life of Pets 2 will see the return of writer Brian Lynch (Minions) and director by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me series, Dr Seuss’ The Lorax).

The Secret Life of Pets 2 is out in cinemas on May 24, 2019.
