Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson return as Hobbs and Shaw respectively. The film Hobbs and Shaw is the spin-off action-movie fans didn’t know they needed. Given the Fast And Furious series is the sixth-highest earning movie franchise of all time, it seems inevitable a spin-off would be made.
When is the Hobbs and Shaw trailer released?
Dwayne Johnson took to his Instagram account to announce the trailer release.
The trailer will be available to watch online on Friday, February 1, although no specific time has been confirmed.
Johnson wrote: “‘I’m what ya call a nice cold can of whup-ass’ ~ Luke Hobbs.
“Get ready for our worldwide @HobbsAndShaw trailer debut on FRIDAY. Jason Statham and Idris Elba & the kid stir up trouble & fun in the biggest showdown the Fast & Furious franchise has ever seen.”
When will Hobbs And Shaw be released?
Hobbs and Shaw is out in cinemas August 2, 2019.
The initial release date of Hobbs And Shaw was scheduled for July 26, 2019.
The USA and UK have the same release date, with Russia and Germany getting it the day before.
No other release dates have been confirmed as of the time of writing.
Who will be in Hobbs And Shaw?
Of course the two titular stars from the Fast and Furious franchise star – Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson as Deckard Shaw and Luke Hobbs respectively.
Also signed onto the spin-off is The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby as Shaw’s sister, an MI5 agent.
Soon after Kirby’s addition was announced, an even bigger bomb was dropped.
Idris Elba was confirmed to be joining the spin-off as the main villain.
Hobbs and Shaw will be directed by David Leitch, whose recent projects include John Wick, Atomic Blonde, and Deadpool 2.
What is Hobbs And Shaw movie about?
Little is known about the plot so far, but rest assured – fast cars and furious action will be involved.
Family is said to be a recurring theme, as it is in the whole Fast and Furious universe.
With the added brother-sister relationship between Statham and Kirby, this is likely to be a strong theme in Hobbs and Shaw.
Leitch told Collider: “I think it’s going to be a little bit more grounded because it’s the beginning.”
“We’re going to set up the stakes for these guys and their relationship, but we’re also going to have some great set pieces and some action that you’d expect.”
Hobbs and Shaw will out be in UK and US cinemas on August 2, 2019.
