Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) has been at the forefront of fans minds for a while. Ever since Robbie announced the project and its exceptionally long title, fans have wondered what was in store. Now with a brand new teaser made public by Warner Bros, the first glimpse at the Birds of Prey has been released.

The teaser is fast-paced, to say the least, and those not well versed in the DC Comics lore may struggle to figure out who is who.

Harley Quinn
Of course, the titular character would appear in the teaser.
Margot Robbie shared a sneak peek at her character’s new look for the solo flick on Instagram already.
But the teaser offers a chance to see her in action.
Harley Quinn seems to have ditched her Suicide Squad wardrobe for something a little more Harajuku inspired.
Huntress
Played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Fargo), Huntress is the daughter of a powerful crime boss.
As a child, she witnessed the murder of her family, which inspired her to take up against Gotham’s underworld.
The Huntress’ weapon of choice is a crossbow, which she uses with lethal accuracy.
Despite being one of the good folks, in the comics, her violent tendencies often put her on the opposite side of vigilante hero Batman.
Black Canary
Jurnee Smollett-Bell (True Blood) plays the second iteration of Black Canary.
The original Black Canary was her mother, Dinah.
She has trained with martial arts experts and has a sonic stream to boot.
Black Canary has an on-again-off-again relationship with Green Lantern and in the comics has worked with Justice League too.
Cassandra Cain
Played by newcomer Ella Jay Basco, Cain is the daughter of assassin David Cain and martial artist Lady Shiva.
In her original comic book form, she served as both Batgirl and Orphan at different points.
For the film, however, she is being hunted by Black Mask.
This target on her back may be what leads to the formation of the Birds of Prey.
Black Mask
Speak of the devil – Black Mask, whose real name is Roman Sionis, is played by Ewan McGregor.
The antagonist of Birds Of Prey, Sionis is a crime lord in Gotham who is hunting down Cassandra Cain.
His reputation for being sadistic and violent precedes him, and he wears a mask carved from his father’s own ebony coffin. Hence black mask.
Mr Zsasz
Chris Messina plays the other Birds of Prey baddie, Victor Zsasz.
Zsasz is both sadistic and some might say masochistic; he carves his kill count into his own flesh.
Renee Montoya
Though not explicitly confirmed in the teaser, the shot of a woman drinking is likely to be Renee Montoya, played by Rosie Perez.
Renee is a police officer in Gotham City and one of only a handful of good ones, which may explain her inclination towards inebriation.
