Avengers shock: Black Panther favourite is NOT dead? Star gives THIS huge hint

Fans are already expecting some kind of miracle in Endgame. The filmmakers have to figure out how to bring back the array of major characters who were killed in The Snap. But what about those who died before Thanos clicked his fingers? Loki lovers are desperately hoping there is a way for him to trick death one last time. It’s no coincidence that another classic anti-hero is much missed and now Bassett just appeared to open the door for his return, too.

Michael B Jordan’s conflicted Eric Killmonger did terrible things, but somehow was redeemed at the end and died with dignity. Or did he?

On the red carpet for the Screen Actors Guild, where the Black Panther ensemble cast later triumphed, Bassett and her husband Courtney B Vance just blew the whole topic open wide.

Asked if everyone would return for the sequel she said: “I would assume so.”

That was a little vague before Vance added: “Yes, just go ahead and say it, yes! Everyone will be there, including Michael B.”

As if that’s not enough, Bassett chimed in: “And maybe they can bring Michael back.” She pointed out that audiences didn’t see him “go into the ocean.”

This refers to Killmongers last speech where he turns down T’CHalla’s offer to try and save him from his injuries: “Just bury me in the ocean with my ancestors that jumped from ships. They knew death was better than bondage.”

There are two very clear ways Micahel B Jordan can return in the sequel.

Firstly, he might somehow be with the ancestors, since he was, briefly, King of Wakanda. he could act as an advisor and commentator from there.

Alternately, rumours continue to grow that Avengers Endgame will honour all the deaths in Infinity War. Instead of miraculously bringing everyone back to life in this reality, it will restart the franchise for Marvel Phase 4 by rebooting an alternate timeline.

In this way, previous deaths can also be changed, since they may not have happened in an alternate reality.
