Pep Guardiola dreams of luring Real Madrid playmaker Isco to Manchester City, according to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda.

“Mikel Arteta had called Isco to consummate Pep Guardiola’s eternal dream, which is to sign him,” Inda said.

However, Inda says City had no chance of snaring Isco by low-balling Real.

“The City made an offer to sign Isco and that was €50m (£43m), a ridiculous offer,” Inda added.

14.39 UPDATE: Arsenal want deal done before Thursday

Arsenal have identified a number of options to replace the injury-stricken Hector Bellerin before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Bellerin is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines having ruptured ligaments in his left knee nine days ago.

But Emery is hoping to secure a temporary replacement for the defender in the form of Kevin Malcuit.

France Football, though, indicate Arsenal may find Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis hard to strike a deal with.

14.33 UPDATE: Latest on potential Tottenham deals

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has provided a disappointing update as far as Spurs fans are concerned.

“You know how we work – in the last minute anything can happen,” Pochettino said. “Of course different players maybe will have the opportunity to leave the club.

“We’re going to see, there’s not too much time. A few days ago I was very optimistic about some options to sign – realistic options to sign – but today no, I’m not optimistic.”

Tottenham are keen to sign a striker after Harry Kane was ruled out until early March with an ankle ligament injury.

Manchester United have asked PSV Eindhoven to keep them up to date regarding the future of winger Steven Bergwijn, reports claim.

Bergwijn is one of the hottest properties in the Eredivisie with his performances turning the heads of a legion of scouts.

United are among the top European clubs to have been impressed by the winger, who has been capped by Holland.

The Mirror reckon United have requested PSV let them know of any plans to sell the highly-rated 21-year-old.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri wants one more player to arrive at Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes on Thursday night.

“I don’t know,” Sarri admitted, when asked about replacing Cesc Fabregas. “You know my opinion, I thought it was important to have two players.

“One has arrived, I am waiting for another. If he arrives I will be very happy, but I won’t be too worried. I am happy to play with these players.”

Sarri has already welcomed Gonzalo Higuain to west London, with the hitman’s arrival paving the way for Alvaro Morata to leave.

Real Madrid are ready to give Mateo Kovacic to Chelsea as part of a deal for Eden Hazard, Spanish reporter Eduardo Inda claims.

“There is a player who, except for a surprise, will sign for Real Madrid. It’s Eden Hazard,” Inda said.

“Chelsea speaks of €100m (£87m). Madrid has a player on loan there, who is [Mateo] Kovacic, and wants to include him in the operation and that at most costs him €30m (£26m).”

Hazard has made no secret of his desire to join Real, with constant flirtation regarding a potential move over the past 18 months.

Arsenal are also targeting Ivan Perisic, who has slapped in a transfer request at Inter Milan.

Italian transfer guru Tancredi Palmeri has revealed Perisic is in line for a huge pay rise if joins the Gunners.

“Arsenal offers a salary of €7m (£6m) per year in Perisic, which at Inter gains €4m (£3.5m),” Palmeri tweeted.

Maurizio Sarri says Chelsea have assured him Callum Hudson-Odoi is going nowhere amid interest from Bayern Munich.

“As you know I don’t have the power to sign a new contract,” Sarri said, referring to Hudson-Odoi, who is tied down until 2020.

“On the pitch I am very happy with him. The club told me in this market window he will remain with us for sure, and very probably in the next.

“I am really very happy with this. He is improving. I think he will be the future of our club and English football.”

Unai Emery tempted Denis Suarez to trade Barcelona for Arsenal by telling the midfielder he had faith in him.

That is according to Spanish transfer guru Guillem Balague as a deal for Suarez moves closer to completion.

“What #AFC get with D. Suarez is a hungry player, quality in the last pass and in quick transitions, personality to demand the ball,” Balague tweeted.

“He improved in his work rate without the ball. His main problem has been the lack of confidence of managers. Unai rang him to tell him he trusts him.”

Arsenal are set seal a loan move for Denis Suarez today after resurrecting the deal with Barcelona.

Spanish outlets Esports COPE and Mundo Deportivo both claim an agreement will be announced in the coming hours.

Suarez is set to extend his contract until 2021 before being sent to north London and signing for Arsenal.

The Gunners will then have the option to sign him on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

Manchester United have reportedly got Monaco misfit Youri Tielemans on their radar with less than 72 hours left to sign players.

But it seems the Norwegian could soon have Tielemans at his disposal, with the midfielder having struggled at Monaco.

And Tonali, who bagged the opener for Brescia, was the man they were specifically running the rule over.
