Rachel Riley: Countdown beauty erupts as she spells SERIOUSLY rude word on air

The country’s darling, Rachel Riley, 33, has been at the heart of Channel 4’s Countdown for quite a while now.

The Countdown star, however, has also joined 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and it gives her an opportunity to show off her funnier, and slightly cheeky side.

The show, hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr, welcomed fellow comedians Sean Lock, Joe Wilkinson, Richard Ayoade and Aisling Bea to try and have a crack at the popular game show.

The guests were asked to make a word out of the letters “GESULIPNK”, and Rachel ended up spelling a rude word which shocked Jimmy.

Rachel sneakily spelt out the word, “Spunk”, and turned back to Jimmy with a wide grin on her face.

The word itself generally means “courage”, but there are some who will recognise its has another rather rude meaning.

Before Rachel revealed her word, Sean and Joe were desperately trying to come up with a word out the jumble of letters on the board.

However, they were soon stopped dead in their tracks after Rachel rearranged the letters on the board to spell out “spunk”.

Jimmy asked: “What are you to, Rachel?”

Rachel then stepped away to reveal her cheeky word and Jimmy gave a small gasp.

The audience and other comedians then started to laugh and applauded Rachel’s word.

This isn’t the first time that Rachel has spelt a slightly naughty word on the show.

However, it did happen by accident once on the main Countdown show.

The Countdown presenter accidentally spelt out “C** budgie”, and she was very alarmed by the moment which was then shared on social media.

Rachel’s boyfriend, Strictly Come Dancing’s Pasha Kovalev, also spelt the word “bumhole” on the show when he made an appearance.

There was a moment when Susie Dent of Dictionary Corner spelt that the word “S***head” was spelt on the show not too long ago.
