Kyrie Irving: Celtics ace drops HUGE LeBron James bombshell – could impact Anthony Davis

The Boston Celtics star can become a free agent this summer, as he has a player option for his final year.

Irving has an interesting history with James, having spent three years at the Cleveland Cavaliers together.

The pair reportedly fell out due to Irving feeling frustrated with the megastar, which led to the youngster requesting a trade, and ending up in Boston.

In recent weeks, however, speculation has suggested that Irving and James have been reconciling.

Irving told reporters that he had called James to apologise for the way he acted in Cleveland, after a locker room dispute with his younger Celtics team-mates.

And just days later, James posted an instagram video of him listening to the Fetty Wap song ‘Rewind’, tagging Irving.

With the Lakers desperate to get in a new star to play alongside James, many felt that this was a sign that they could potentially make a move for Irving in the summer, if he became a free agent.

This summer, there will be a host of big names who have the chance to become free agents, and most have been linked with a move to the Lakers.

Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard and Klay Thompson are the three main stars who could move teams in the off-season, but if Irving is involved then it could change the scene.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that Irving was having second thoughts about re-signing with the Celtics next year.

This could lead to him being traded by Boston, unless he decides to opt out this summer.

And according to Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report, Irving is exploring the idea of a move to Los Angeles.

He wrote: “A source close to the Celtics confirmed that Kyrie Irving is genuinely interested in reuniting with his former Cavaliers teammate. “That is for real,” the source said.”

The Lakers are currently trying to complete a trade move for Anthony Davis, who requested a trade on Monday, with his preferred destination expected to be the Lakers.

But, if they are unable to do so, it is expected that Boston will make a move when they are eligible to do so in the summer.

If they are able to get Davis, it would make Irving’s departure seem more likely, as the Lakers would be short of options for their second star.
