Carol Vorderman tells GMB host Piers Morgan: ‘I don't want you anywhere near my body’

Carol Vorderman took to Twitter to discuss a tattoo she had seen on Good Morning Britain, and it firmly involved presenter Piers Morgan. The Countdown legend couldn’t resist telling her 390,000 followers what she really thought of the “tattoo” one of the ITV show’s make-up artists had got. The 58-year-old did not hold back in revealing her shock, saying she was certainly not a fan of the inking of the outspoken journalist’s face. The host, 53, had first posted on Instagram: “When you get to work and find the make-up team have gone that extra mile for you… thanks Mel!”

The crew member was seen holding out her arm, with the large tattoo of Piers’ face in black and white above her wrist.

Carol started: “Morning all… enjoying @GMB this morning. Loving the @piersmorgan tattoo that Mel in make up has had… hilarious… let me order one immediately… um… maybe not. I’m more a @RichardAArnold girl myself.”

The TV regular then revealed a mocked-up image of herself with an arm tattoo, complete with a red heart and “sums” written across it.

“I’ve been hiding this one for years,” she quipped. “Lol #Age40 #Tattoo ⁦@GMB… ‘Sums’ or ⁦@piersmorgan⁩ tattoo…? Sums for me every time.”(sic)

Piers responded: “You know you want one, Vorders,” with Carol writing back: “How many times do I have to tell you @piersmorgan?

“I don’t want you anywhere near my bod… not even in ink form… LOL @gmb @susannareid100…”(sic)

Far from undeterred, he stated in view of his own 6.54 million followers: “Methinks the lady doth protest too much…”

She then shared a message from a user addressing their chat: “Watching Piers Morgan and Carol Vorderman flirt is a little like seeing your parents kiss.

“It’s adorable, but part of you wants to hide behind the sofa and pretend you didn’t see it.”

Carol then went on: “Spluttering over my coffee… @GMB @susannareid100… #tattoo. It’s just me and @RichardAArnold for our girls lunch this Thursday… no room for @piersmorgan #WhatAShame.

When one person urged: “Don’t tell him where you are going!” she added: “We won’t… we don’t even know ourselves!”

Meanwhile, after sharing the picture of herself, she was told she reminded someone of Louise Redknapp while Francis Keogh asked if she actually had any tattoos.

She stated: “Ha ha… I use the stick on ones all the time… they make me laugh for some reason… @Tattooforaweek.”

It come just hours after Carol Vorderman, who was a regular feature on Countdown between 1982 and 2008, set out on a walk across the Brecon Beacons in Wales.

However, the presenter was “nearly knocked off her feet” due to the “blustery” weather, and it was all caught on camera.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
