Who is in the cast of Kingdom on Netflix?
Leading the cast is Ju Ji-hoon as the crown prince, Chang who is sent to investigate a mysterious plague.
Ji-hoon has also starred in Asura: The City of Madness, Antique and The Spy Gone North.
Bae Doona stars as Seo-bi. The actress is down for her roles in Cloud Atlas and Sense8.
Rye Seung-ryong from Miracle in Cell No 7 plays Jo Hak jo.
Other cast members include Kim Sang-ho, Heo Joon-ho, Jeon Seok-ho and Chu Han-yub.
What is the plot of Kingdom on Netflix?
The synopsis for Kingdom reads: “In a kingdom defeated by corruption and famine, a mysterious rumour of the king’s death spreads, as does a strange plague that renders the infected immune to death and hungry for flesh.
“The crown prince, fallen victim to a conspiracy, sets out on a journey to unveil the evil scheme and save his people.”
Kingdom is adapted from the webcomic Land of the Gods by Kim Eun-hee who also serves as showrunner on Kingdom.
The drama is set during Korea’s Joseon Era when strange rumours about the reigning king begin to spread.
The crown prince emerges as the kingdom’s only hope against a plague that is turning people into violent zombie killers.
The series will continue with another six episodes which are due to be released in 2020.
