Gemma Collins: Dancing On Ice star in WHEELCHAIR after fall as future on show in doubt

According to her boyfriend Arg, Gemma wasn’t able to sleep last night due to the pain from her fall. “The swelling around her thighs and knees is horrific,” he said. “She’s black and blue all over.” Arg explained how the Dancing On Ice star was “struggling to walk”, saying he even had to carry her to the car earlier today. “She’s been using [her mother] Joan’s wheelchair on and off all day because she’s in so much pain,” he said.

Gemma’s beau revealed she has an appointment with a private doctor tomorrow in order to decide the next step for her and whether or not she will have to withdraw from Dancing On Ice.

Saying it would be Gemma’s “worst nightmare” to have to pull out, the reality star added: “She wants to continue and we strongly believe she’s a real contender to win.”

Express.co.uk has contacted ITV asking for comment.

In pictures obtained by The Mirror, Gemma could be seen struggling with her injury as she took the day off rehearsing for Dancing On Ice.

One snap showed Arg helping her to the car as she hobbled on one leg, while later, she opted for a wheelchair instead.

During the live show last night, Gemma broke down in tears after suffering a nasty fall on the ice towards the end of her routine to Celine Dion’s It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.

On the show, Arg said his heart “sank” when his girlfriend stumbled on the ice, adding: “I’ve just been with her backstage and she’s crying her eyes out.

“She feels embarrassed, she’s in pain. She’s got ice packs on her knees.”

Gemma subsequently updated her 1.2 million Instagram followers on her injuries as she went for a post-show meal.

Uploading a clip showing herself placing a bag of ice on her knee, Gemma explained: “I’m in absolute agony.”

She also shared a video of the routine, saying: “Absolutely devastated and embarrassed.

“My heart is broken but when I went down I thought of Tyson Fury and knew I had to get back up and carry on!

“Can’t thank you enough for your support on social media and picking up the phone to vote,” she continued.

“I’m in a lot of pain but bring on fantasy week!”

Gemma and Matt made it through to the next week of the competition thanks to the public vote, with Grease actress Didi Conn, 67, being sent home.

Dancing On Ice continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
