Captain Marvel leaks: Is THIS superhero set for surprise appearance? Huge clue

One face from the Marvel comics has had a new action figure released on the Disney store – someone who has not been teased in any of the Captain Marvel promo materials. What’s more, the product’s official description directly references scenes from Captain Marvel. So are we due another arrival in the MCU?

It’s Genis-Vell who we could soon be seeing on the big screen.

The Shop Disney description reads: “Born of a Titanian Eternal, Genis-Vell possesses indomitable strength and uses powerful Nega-Bands to channel incredible energy blasts!

“Recreate Genis-Vell’s Captain Marvel scenes with this 6” action figure from the Marvel Legends Series.”

In the comics, Genis-Vell is a superhero-turned-supervillain; the son of Mar-Vell and himself a one-time holder of the Captain Marvel title.

Jude Law has been widely rumoured to be playing Mar-Vell, and in fact his IMDb page even credits him in that role.

So will be seeing his son as well?

It’s important to note that the appearance on the Disney store doesn’t 100% confirmed Genis-Vell’s appearance – as it could be an error (Digital Spy notes that such mistakes have happened in the past).

But this could be an exciting prospect if it does prove to be true. What relevance could Genis-Vell have to the film’s plot?

Captain Marvel is out on March 8 and will properly introduce Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers to the MCU.

Larson is also known to have filmed scenes for April’s Avengers: Endgame; the follow-up to last year’s Infinity War.

With the solo movie set in the 1990s, it is assumed that it will explain why Carol has not been seen in any MCU movies so far.

Captain Marvel is out on March 8.
