The Voice UK 2019: ‘Of course not’ Sir Tom Jones SCOLDS Olly Murs over revelation

Olly and Tom were back on screens alongside their fellow The Voice  coaches will.i.am and Jennifer Hudson.

During a break between acts on the ITV programme, Olly and Jennifer found themselves having a bit of a sing-song.

The two of them were deliberately singing a rather nasally rendition of Jennifer’s hit Spotlight.

Following their performance, Olly made a revelation about his mother.

He told his fellow coaches: “My mum sings like that, we always say ‘stop singing from your nose, mum’.”

Tom looked taken aback as he asked: “You don’t talk to your mother like that, do you?”

Olly looked a bit sheepish as he quickly began to back track.

“No, of course not Tom,” he replied.

“I’ve met your mother, she came up and gave me a kiss,” Tom then added.

Olly laughed: “You did meet my mum last year, that’s why she’s banned this year.”

However, it was all just a good-humoured bit of banter between the pair of them.

Tonight’s show kicked off with a bit of an outcry from fans.

Contestant Eden Kavanagh stepped up to try her best to get one of the coaches to turn round for her.

The singer performed They Just Keep Moving The Line from TV series Smash, originally sung by Megan Hilty.

But despite a massive response from the audience, none of the coaches turned round.

Many of those watching at home couldn’t believe it and took to Twitter to vent.

One said: “Oh man Eden really deserved a turn…! That’s such a shame. The jazz genre never seems to do well on this show.

“Real pity.. I hope she doesn’t give up!! #TheVoiceUK.”

“Can’t believe they didn’t turn for Eden #Thevoiceuk,” another stressed.

The Voice UK continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
