PS Plus February 2019 WARNING: Free PS4 games and PlayStation Plus countdown

Fans won’t be waiting too much longer to find out what new PS Plus games are being launched in February 2019.

As usual, Sony is expected to make the big announcement during the last week of the current month.

The big news of the new free PS4 games being added to the official PlayStation Plus subscription service should be revealed on Wednesday, January 30.

While it may seem pretty late in the month, Sony always shares their latest PS Plus news on the last Wednesday of the month.

So fans have just a few more days to go before everything is confirmed officially by Sony PlayStation.

The reveal is made around 4:30pm GMT and will include the full list of free games being made available in February.

This will mean titles for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, although this will soon change.

Sony has revealed that they aiming to remove PS Vita and PlayStation 3 games from service subscription service, starting in March.

Here’s more from Sony, who confirm: “Starting on March 8, 2019, the PS Plus monthly games lineup will focus on PS4 titles and no longer include PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita titles.

“This won’t affect any games you’ve already downloaded or will download, prior to March 8, 2019. Those games will still be part of your PS Plus games library as long as you remain a member.

“Your game saves, and other benefits of PS Plus will also remain the same – the only change is that no new PS3 and PS Vita games will be added to the PS Plus monthly games lineup beyond March 8, 2019.

“Many of our fans are playing on the PS4 platform, with the increasingly vast number of PS4s in homes around the world. We’ll continue to prioritise the benefits you receive through your PS Plus membership, such as online multiplayer, online game save storage, PS4 monthly games, and exclusive PS Store discounts across content and network services.”

The PS Plus February 2019 line-up will be the final PlayStation Plus line-up to feature free PS3 and PS Vita games.

It’s a massive change and those gamers still collecting just these title will want to cancel their subscription before March 8, 2019.

Fans will be hoping for some specials games to be included in the final run for both consoles.

There has so far been no leaks or news shared on what PS Plus games will be selected for February.

Sony has also not confirmed if they will be making any changes to how PS4 games are shared past March 2019.

When it comes to the February list of games, these won’t be going live until Tuesday, February 5.

Which means fans still have plenty of time to download the current crop of PlayStation Plus titles on all platforms.

This includes Steep and Portal Knights on PS4, as well as Zone of the Enders HD Collection and Amplitude on PS3.

PS Vita fans have the choice of Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion, which is also a crossplay title with PS4.

The final PS Vita game available to download until the end of the month is Super Mutant Alien Assault.
