Games with Gold February 2019 NEWS: Free Xbox One games update

What free Xbox One games will be included in the Games with Gold February 2019 lineup?

That’s the question many Xbox Live subscriber are asking this week, before the big reveal.

Microsoft will make the announcement very soon, possibly on Tuesday, January 29.

This would place it just before Sony’s own PS Plus, although, there’s no guarantee when it will be revealed.

Unlike Sony, Microsodoesn’tn’t have a designated day each month on which they share their Games with Gold news.

But what we do know is that it will be announced before the end of the month, meaning it has to happen later this week.

So far there have been no leaks suggesting what will be included, or what new Backwards Compatible titles will be announced.

There’s a chance that something will be revealed before the big announcement, but online leaks are always hard to source.

Fans have been making their own prediction, with some suggesting that The Division will be made available ahead of the launch of the sequel – although this seems unlikely.

Until the official news is announced, Microsoft has chosen to offer up free games trials for Xbox Live Gold subscribers to try out.

Forza Horizon 3 and Dragon Ball Fighterz are available to download and play until the early hours of Monday morning.

“This weekend is all about power! Take command of powerful fighters in the world of Dragon Ball and powerful cars on the Gold Coast of Australia,” reads a Microsoft blog post.

“Xbox Live Gold members can play Forza Horizon 3 and Dragon Ball FighterZ for free as part of the Free Play Days event.

“Starting on Thursday, January 24 at 12:01 a.m. PT and running through to Sunday, January 27 at 11:59 p.m. PT, high-octane fights and the Horizon Festival await you.”

The games can be accessed through the Gold member area on the Xbox home dashboard.

Fans can also download and play Celeste and WRC 6 – the current Games with Gold titles for January.

For those who don’t know, Games with Gold offers free Xbox games to qualifying Xbox Live Gold members.

The program provides Gold members with free games every month, worth up to $700 per year, according to Microsoft.

Games with Gold is available to all Xbox Live Gold members, which can be redeemed from the Gold widget on the Xbox One home screen.

Titles can also be found if you download the Xbox One SmartGlass app, and go to the Microsoft Store and then page right.

When you select a game, it’ll be stored in your account and ready for download when you sign in to your console.

It should also be noted that new Games with Gold titles become available on the first and the sixteenth day of every month.
