Becky Lynch Royal Rumble loss: WWE fans FURIOUS after Asuka defeat amid Ronda Rousey talk

Lynch got her rematch for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona shortly after her controversial loss at TLC last December.

However, The Man couldn’t reclaim the belt as she suffered a clean loss when she tapped out to the Asuka Lock.

That didn’t sit well with a number of fans who feel like this sort of loss makes her look weak ahead of a rumoured WrestleMania main-event match against Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.

One fan tweeted: “Becky Lynch tapping out was actually a terrible booking decision. I just don’t understand the logic of this f*****g company.”

Another posted: “WTF did you make Becky tap?!”

A third wrote: “So… we all love Asuka. But WHY WOULD YOU HAVE YOUR TOP STAR BECKY LYNCH TAP CLEAN?!? Why make her look weak going into Mania? I don’t f*****g get the logic #RoyalRumble.”

A fourth said: “”The Man” Becky Lynch should have won that match in a disqualification.. making her tap makes her look weak #RoyalRumble”

And another argued: “If you are going to put Becky Lynch up against Ronda Rousey you don’t make her tap out 2 months before hand #RoyalRumble.”

This is probably not be the last time we see Lynch compete in the Royal Rumble as rumours suggest she will pull off double duty.

That means she could become a shock entrant for the Women’s Royal Rumble Match and win.

If she prevails then she will finally get her long-awaited match against Rousey at WrestleMania.

The two WWE megastars were scheduled to battle at Survivor Series last year but the bout was cancelled after The Man got injured.

The Irish Lass Kicker suffered a broken nose and a concussion at the hands of Nia Jax.

Charlotte replaced her and got herself disqualified after bludgeoning Rousey with a kendo stick and a steel chair.

Lynch and The Queen kept taunting ‘Rowdy’ online but the UFC Hall of Famer got her revenge at TLC.

The RAW Women’s Champion dropped both her SmackDown rivals from the top of a ladder during a Triple Threat Match that also included Asuka.
