Avengers star CONFIRMS her missing Infinity War hero IS alive in Endgame?

It was bad enough seeing so many beloved characters turn to dust on the big screen. Fans were also left worried about some major players who weren’t shown at all. Hawkeye was the biggest absentee but fans already know he will be back in Endgame, thanks to the latest trailers. The film opened with the devastating scenes on board the Asgardian vessel and showed few survivors. However, directors Joe and Anthony Russo have already confirmed there were escape pods and now one of the biggest and newest stars just appeared to confirm she will be back in action this April.

Tessa Thomspon has been a vocal supporter of the drive to see more women directors in Hollywood and just put out a new call for more diversity in the journalists covering her upcoming film releases.

She tweeted: “I also committed to Doubling the number of women and POC journalist covering the films I have coming out this year. (One in April and in June).”

Fans know that Thompson’s Men In Black reboot hits cinemas in June. So, what is that April release? Fans are already excited she is talking about Avengers Endgame.

But there is a huge problem…

Yes, Avengers Endgame hits cinemas worldwide late April but Thompson is not confirmed to appear.

However, she is definitely starring in a small indie flick called Little Woods, with Downton Abbey actress Lily James.

Despite the hopes of fans and excited headlines in some news outlets, she is definitely talking about that film, which she has been tirelessly promoting. The low-budget movie is very close to her heart, examining the struggles of poor, disadvantaged women in America’s underbelly.

So, logically does this mean she is NOT in Avengers Endgame? Not necessarily.

Joe Russo said late last year: “Several Asgardians have escaped. I have gone on record saying Valkyrie has escaped with some of the Asgardians.”

Thompson was spotted filming scenes last year at Durham Cathedral with a Rocket Raccoon stand-in and Chris Hemsworth.

So, while her latest tweet in no way confirms her Endgame return, it does not exclude it either. Thompson is talking about influencing the press junkets for films where she is the primary star and might possibly have some power to effect change. Endgame is such a huge project is unlikely anyone, except maybe Robert Downey Jr, has any control whatsoever over the marketing.
