Kate Middleton: Why the Duchess was VERY jealous of Prince William and another woman

Kate Middleton has been romantically involved with Prince William ever since the pair were students together at St Andrew’s University in Scotland. The pair were married in a lavish ceremony in 2011 and have gone on to have three children. However, the royal couple have not always had an easy relationship. While the pair were still at university, in 2004, they decided to break up. A royal expert has revealed that, during this “trial separation,” William made the now-Duchess of Cambridge very jealous when it came to another woman.

The Prince “hurt Kate deeply” during the split, author Katie Nicholl said in her 2010 book William and Harry.

The source of the upset is believed to have another woman – Anna Sloan, a then 22-year-old heiress.

Anna was just one of the reasons Kate was questioning her relationship with the Queen’s grandson.

Kate worried William might have feelings for Anna, which was furthered when the heiress invited William to Texas on a holiday with some friends.

The invitation came at a particularly difficult time as William organised a boys-only yachting holiday in Greece, from which Kate was excluded, after he said he “wanted a break”.

“Kate was beginning to question William’s commitment to their relationship, and she also had her own creeping doubts about their future after St Andrews,” wrote Nicholl.

“A number of things had caused her to question William’s commitment, although she had not raised them with him yet.

“One was William’s friendship with an American heiress called Anna Sloan.”

She continues: “Anna had lost her father, businessman George Sloan, in a tragic shooting accident on the family’s 360-acre estate in Nashville, and she and William had bonded over the loss of their parents.

“When Anna invited William and a group of friends to Texas for a holiday before he went to Greece, it hurt Kate deeply.

“She suspected William might have feelings for the 22-year-old heiress.”

Fortunately for Kate, her worries proved unfounded as nothing ever happened between William and Anna, claimed Nicholl.

She wrote: “Anna was not the least bit romantically interested in William, and the friendship was never anything more than just that.”

In fact, Anna and her husband Eddie Smith went on to attend the royal wedding of William and Kate in 2011.

However, this wasn’t the only time William caused Kate grief when it came to other women.

The Duke of Cambridge enjoyed a lad’s holiday away from his wife in 2017 and went skiing with friends in Verbier, Switzerland.

During the trip, he was seen putting his hand on the waist of a mystery women while in a nightclub.

Kate was “less than pleased” when she discovered this, according to Vanity Fair sources.
