EastEnders spoilers: Mick and Linda Carter at risk AGAIN as Stuart star speaks on future?

Stuart (played by Ricky Champ) is still in the Square even after Mick (Danny Dyer) was released from prison because Linda (Kellie Bright) obtained a confession that the newcomer had framed her husband.

Mick has been dealing with his own troubles following his spell inside as EastEnders viewers have seen his mental health take a toll.

But is Stuart’s reign of terror over the Carters really over on the BBC soap?

Stuart star Ricky has revealed what the future could hold for the two of them, and that Stuart might not be done with them.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Ricky spilled: “I think at different times in Stuart Highway’s life he’s really kind of a different person and he got to a point where he couldn’t stop himself.

“But maybe now we will see a different person or maybe a different time in Stuart Highway’s life and then maybe explore something between those characters again, who knows?

“Anything can happen on Albert Square.”

Stuart appears to have done irreparable damage to his relationship with the Carters, but could his character be redeemed somewhere along the line?

Ricky continued: “I think redemption, it might be a long way away but yeah.

“There is a lot of vulnerability to Stuart Highway and a lot of sadness in his life and if that’s explored and people understand then maybe, yeah.

“Maybe people will start rooting for him to be a good man.”

But it may take some time for viewers to forgive the villain.

Stuart framed Mick for shooting him and it was down to Linda to get him to confess.

To make her plan work as effectively as possible, she distanced herself from Mick as well as the rest of the Carters.

Linda put herself at great personal risk and it put a strain on her’s and Mick’s relationship.

Despite Stuart coming between the beloved soap couple, Ricky said he wasn’t worried about upsetting fans.

He said: “I think the massive fanbase of Mick and Linda’s actually appreciate it because at the end of the day one of the crowning jewels of EastEnders is Mick and Linda’s love and it’s tested isn’t it?

“It’s tested to the real limits and people want to see that.

“I think they’ve actually kind of beaten it, or should I say they are currently beating it.”

EastEnders continues Monday at 8pm on BBC One.
